History

Spirit West Management, Inc. was started in 1990 by Lorraine Rieger in Seattle, WA to provide management and marketing strategy consulting to growing companies. Spirit West became a state-certified women-owned business in 1992.

Our name originates with the idea that to grow means to infuse energy or spirit into an enterprise.
At that time, the company worked with smaller professional services, software, industrial, environmental technology, recycling organizations as well as clients of a state wide economic development agency. Lorraine developed a growth strategy plan methodology and a set of how to tools to deal with change for her clients.

In 1999, the company set up an office in Vancouver, BC and expanded the partnership to include Rob McGregor. Together, Lorraine and Rob further expanded the original change management tool set and growth methodology and created the Smart Team System.

Focused on helping companies through acquisition integration and growth after turnarounds, the company started working with a variety of associates. Spirit West added capabilities in strategic planning, operations management, conflict resolution and mediation as well as leadership assessments and surveys.

Today, Spirit West focuses on helping mid-market companies grow to the next level in order to begin acquiring other companies, get into new markets or to be acquired.
